Art thing

I really thought this was a cool idea for an art project, but it was not my personal favorite. I liked being able to work with something new. I would not want to do it again though. I prefer working with charcoal.

The facial features were kind of fun. I'm not the best at it but it's interesting to learn how to properly draw these.

Story Art

This tire track tells a story. It tells a story of how life rolls through like a tire. I painted it different colors because it shows how when life goes on, it changes. I purposely made this track imperfect, to show how life is not perfect. This is the story of my art project.

Essential Question

The essential question was "how do you climb to success?" and what better way to climb there than with a ladder? The Ladder to Success. This was made out of some wooden rods I found and some twine. I drilled holes in to the wood and then tied the twine through, attaching it to the other rods. I struggled finding a good question if you can't tell.

Artists Are Self Directed

This project was pretty neat because we got to create anything we really wanted to. For my first piece I learned how to use gradients with chalk. I started with a small circle and built off of it with different colors.

For my second piece, I named it ADD. I named it this because I let my mind wander with the music I was listening to. It's very random and I didn't really have a plan while creating it. Just my thoughts and a pencil. I really enjoyed this because I did not feel regulated with what I could make. Overall I would say it was a great unit.
